Marc Smith
Marc Smith is a native of Savannah, GA. He was born to Rose Marie Smith and the late Amos Smith, Jr. He attended Ramah Parochial School for elementary. He attended Savannah Junior Academy for Junior High School and Georgia Cumberland Academy for High School.
Marc served in the United States Navy and Naval Reserves. He graduated from Savannah State College, majoring in Political Science. Later, he became a Teacher for the Savannah Chatham County Public School System and taught at Riley Learning Center School for designated felons. There, he taught social studies to middle school and high school students. |
Marc was employed by the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department and transferred to the Board of Education Police Department were he retired in 2015.
Marc is very active in several civic organizations. For example, he is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity; Inc. along with the American Legion Post 500. He is a Life-Time member of VFW Post 4392. He is the President of BRAVO Music Company, Inc. He is the Associate Pastor at Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Marc was a Democratic Candidate for the Georgia’s First Congressional District in 2014. |
